Emily Good

Bio

Emily led the Carmel High School softball program from 2004 to 2017, building one of the most successful stretches in school history. Under her leadership, the team captured five sectional championships (2006, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012), two regional titles (2011, 2012), a semi-state title in 2011, and the IHSAA Class 4A State Championship in 2011. That same year, she was honored as the ICGSA Indiana 4A State Coach of the Year and was part of the NFCA Regional Coaching Staff of the Year.

Her teams also won MIC Conference titles in 2008, 2009, 2010, 2015, and 2016. In addition to her coaching success, Good has served in statewide leadership roles as ICGSA Softball Co-Chair and Indiana All-Star Coordinator.

Outside of high school athletics, she is currently the Head Coach of the ProX Phoenix 18U National softball team. She has also made significant contributions to Carmel's football program, serving as Director of Football Operations for two seasons (2021–2022) and stepping into the role of General Manager in 2025.

Before joining Carmel in 2003, Good was an assistant softball coach at Indiana State University—her alma mater—for one year, and spent five years as an assistant coach at Terre Haute South.

Emily is currently in her 22nd year of teaching at CHS in the Wellness Department (Exercise Science).
