Logan Swartzlander

Bio

Coach Darryle “Logan” Swartzlander has been coaching Carmel Football since 2022 and has spent the last 3 years as a Freshman DB’s coach and Special Teams Coordinator. Coach was born in Bainbridge, GA and moved to Indiana at age 5 due to military obligations of his father. He graduated from Southport High School in 2009 where he played football and ran track. After graduation Coach joined the Air Force as Security Forces where he became an Investigator, Instructor, and Sniper. During his time in the military, Coach played on multiple military teams for both football and softball. He was medically discharged from the Air Force after 12 years of service and moved back to Indiana with his family. Coach was able to go to college during his time in the military and graduated with a BA in Sports Psychology and MA in Athletic Coaching from Florida State University.

Coach Has been with his wife Cinthia for 10 years and they have 2 daughters, Charlotte (9) and Samantha (6). The family is big into football and softball, which Cinthia played in college and both daughters are actively involved in.

Coach Swartzlander has been dedicated to not only the Carmel Football program but Carmel High School as a Criminal Justice teacher. This has led Coach to develop strong relationships with the players to guide them both on and off the field.
