Bio

Coach Alexander is entering his 20th season of coaching in 2025. Coach joined the Carmel Greyhounds in 2015 as the Inside Linebackers Coach. He moved to Co-Defensive Coordinator/Safeties Coach in 2017 and became the Defensive Coordinator in 2021. Coach Alexander began his coaching career at his alma mater, Western Michigan University in 2005, starting out at the age of 20 as an Undergraduate Assistant working with the Defensive Line in 2005 before moving to the Defensive Backs in 2006, ending his time at WMU coaching in the International Bowl against Brian Kelly and the Cincinnati Bearcats.

Coach Alexander joined Hampden-Sydney College from 2007-2009, serving as the Safeties Coach and coordinated special teams, helping to lead the Tigers to a 26-6 record while winning two ODAC championships and qualifying twice for the NCAA playoffs. Prior to joining Carmel, Coach Alexander coached several Greyhounds overseas with American Football Worldwide, coaching Linebackers, Defensive Backs, and serving as the Defensive Coordinator against the French and Italian U19 National teams and returned as a Greyhound to coach against the Irish National team in 2017.

In addition to his work with American Football Worldwide, Coach Alexander has helped lead football operations for the Rivals Camp Series since 2017. He has also been featured as a speaker at the U.S. Army Bowl and FBU Top Gun. Coach Alexander grew up in the Detroit area and earned 6 varsity letters at Lahser High School. He is an avid golfer, hockey player, and enjoys rooting for the Tigers, Red Wings, Lions, and Pistons. Coach Alexander and his wife Beckie have been married since 2010. They are the proud parents of Ella (10) and Austin (7).
